Oscars Group is proud to announce a major expansion into South Australia, welcoming four of metropolitan Adelaide’s most-loved venues into the family: the Lakes Resort Hotel, Bridgeway Hotel, The Maid & Magpie and the Paradise Hotel.
The group’s maiden move into South Australia began with the acquisition of the Fahey Hotels portfolio. The trio brings 80 guest rooms, extensive retail liquor and function facilities, and a significant gaming presence into the group across three landmark locations.
The waterfront Lakes Resort Hotel in West Lakes boasts a strong rooms division, versatile conferencing spaces, a thriving retail liquor business and the award-winning restaurant Tunki. The Bridgeway Hotel in Pooraka, freshly renovated in 2019, is a north-eastern favourite renowned for live entertainment. The Maid & Magpie in Stepney is a beloved inner-east institution, home to the ever-popular Lucky’s Beach Club activation.
“We were excited by the portfolio opportunity as a natural fit to our diversified hospitality interests and national growth strategy, and are grateful to the Fahey family for the carriage of these great businesses,” said Oscars Group director Bill Gravanis.
The group continued its South Australian journey soon after with the Paradise Hotel. Located north-east of the CBD on an expansive 8,500-square-metre landholding with significant development upside, the Paradise Hotel is a robust gaming and hospitality complex featuring a public bar with TAB facilities, a recently refurbished bistro and a gaming lounge with 33 machines.
Together, these venues mark an exciting new frontier for Oscars Group and reflect the group’s unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence and growth.
